Mikel J. Sagoian

Mikel J. Sagoian has dedicated her legal career exclusively to family law matters.  As a skilled negotiator and litigator, Mikel works closely with her clients to reach effective and efficient results.  Mikel is a compassionate advocate, focusing on the unique issues in each family.  Mikel has extensive experience working with families through times of transition.

Mikel is committed to providing clients with straightforward, skillful, and impactful advice.   She strives to provide dedicated and highly personalized representation to each client.  Mikel finds advocating and helping families to incorporate creative solutions to meet their specific needs particularly rewarding.

Mikel’s dedication to her clients is reinforced through her personal and professional experience of navigating the real complications of divorce, having experienced her own divorce in 2008.  Although Ms. Sagoian recognizes the potential impacts of litigation on families, she is diligent when Court action is the best option.  However, she ardently attempts to collaborate and negotiate to find common ground and fair resolutions.

Mikel respects that family law conflict represents some of the most tumultuous and essential work in an individual’s life.  Her drive to represent her clients vigilantly comes partly due to the inspiring transformations that she has witnessed in her clients.

After completing her Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Seattle University School of Business, Mikel pursued her Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Seattle University.  She received honors for the highest performance in clinical studies with the Ronald Peterson Domestic Violence Legal Clinic at Seattle University.

Mikel is a Northwest native who maintains a love for the area.  She currently resides in the Kirkland area with her husband and four children.  When not working for her clients, Mikel enjoys reading classic literature, hiking, crafting, and volunteering in the community.  Mikel is also an avid Sounder fan.
